Hello everyone, I have an 85 9.9 Johnson, runs great, starts great, never any problems... until this past weekend.
The motor was boggin pretty good and after I drop for a few min, I pulled the cover and notice mice has built a nest from foam and newspaper in there. uuuuuhg!
Anyways, I cleaned it all out, pulled the breather and some pieces of paper were in the butterfly's and it looks like everything is clean, I got lots of power again and it goes full speed.
BUT! Now when I start it, it idles very high, and there were no adjustments made. Do you think if some debris got sucked into the carb it would cause it to high idle?
Thank you
