9.9 lower unit lube

could someone tell me how much lube it takes to fill a 81 9.9. Thanks.

Should be 9.0 ounces.Just pump it into the bottom plug until it comes out the top one.

Then why does the 10oz. tube of Bomby Lube never seem to be enough......LOL!!d

Maybe a 10 ounce tube with less oil?
At anyrate you'd be hard 'pressed' to be able to squeeze all the oil out (and up) into the lower unit from that tube.

We do sell a lot of the quart bottles and the hand pump.

We do the same DHP. The squeeze bottles are good for throwing in the boat for extra if you need it. We also sell a good bit of the 16oz squeeze bottle for the smaller engines.

But for anything larger than 15hp, the pump is the way to go.
