:confused:I receantly purcahsed a 1990 Bayliner Cobra with a 150 Force. First time I took it out it ran fine for awhile. I stoped to fish and would not fire up. It turned over fine but would not start. I primed it and would start at an idle (sometimes) but when I took it out of "idle gear" and put it in gear it would die. The bleeder bulb would not get hard. I took it to a shop and they ended up replacing the bulb and said it ran fine. And it did a couple of times, last week end I took it back out and had the same problem, started fine at the dock and 3-4 other times. then same problem. They one thing that stands out both times is that I had put gas in both times, in which I gat a large amount of "blow-by" from the tank. I got it home and was able to get the bleeder bulb to get hard today. Any ideas?

By 'blow by' you mean the tank spits back at you when filling? I believe that's somewhat normal.

The running issue: Check your fuel pump's diaphram for cracks and/or leaks. If pumping the bulb gets you going but it won't keep running, it sounds like you are not getting enough fuel pressure to fill the float bowls.

Good Luck!

Priming the bulb does not always work. It is about a 50/50 shot. I am going to check the fuel pump and will get back to you thanks for the start.
