I need help on my 2.3l ford omc I was out at the lake 2 weeks ago and boat start up just fine but once going full speed and 15 - 20 minute later engine started to sputter and almost wanting to shut off so. at lower rpms it runs ok. left it completely off for a few hours "fishing day " lol stared back up heading back to the marina ran perfect this time for a while longer . went back the following week now it would l start up and idle for less then 10 15 seconds and will shut off I've already checked the fuel lines starting at the tank up to the carburetor get fuel all the way but wont get fuel into the carburetor any advice will be appreciated thank you

start at the tank. look at the pickup and pickup tube, from there look at the anti-siphon valve. from the anti siphon valve the fuel is drawn into the fuel pump. from the fuel pump, it is pumped into the carb inlet, where it goes thru a filter, then goes into the needle and seat.

so if fuel is stopping at the carb, its either a plugged inlet filter or a plugged needle and seat.
