90 evinrude 150.. how many thermostats are in it....

i took apart the two thermostat howsings and there was only one.. the one on the port side was empty.. the people at west marine said that there is only one in there.. does anyone know if that is tru??

They misunderstood, there is only one in EACH block.
But theres 2 blocks....so 2 thermos.

It helps get response if you give the history behind the engine too.
Sounds like its new to you?
Then theres a bunch of things you need to do if you don't know the service history.

The engine should be run with two stats in it to properly regulate the powerhead temps. This will promote proper combustion and economy.

2 stat's as far as I know.
