90 Evinrude Tilt Problem

I have a 1990 90V-4 Evinrude That the trim goes down fine but doesn't come back up. The solenoid for trim up is clicking, but no motor.<br /><br />This happened after a trailer ride out of winter storage. I noticed that the motor rode home in the up position with out any support. <br /><br />Any help would be appreciated.<br /><br />PaulG

I have the same outboard, Johnson version. I had the same problem intermittently. I solved it by removing the solenoids and cleaning the blade contacts. May be worth a try...wouldn't cost much.
