I have a 90 hp 4 stroke on my pontoon. It has been a cold nature engine (that's what i have chalked it up too so far)....When I first put it in the water for the day it will crank fine......but when I go to put in forward or reverse....it will die every time. But once it warms up for about 15 minutes at the ramp it runs great. If i stop for 30 minutes or so ...its the same thing. I put it in gear and it dies. It has always eventually ran. I had it in the shop last year at the end of the season and had the carbs cleaned spark plugs and wires changed.
