90 hp etec quits running

Have 90 hp etec 2007. Runs along well then quits for no obvious reason. Will restart after a short while. Tried it a hi and low speeds seem to do it at all speeds. No alarms sound and observers say they see some smoke/steam coming from exaust. Any ideas?

Has the motor had the diagnostic program interrogate the EMM? E-Tec's are not for mechanical dabblers. I would get the motor to a BRP dealer before damage is done.

Your best bet is to take it in to a dlr and have him check it with a laptop to check for any codes. With these new mtrs (all of them) you need a dam laptop to work on them.
