I would have posted this in the props section but I think I'll get a better response here. I have a 1998 force 90hp on a 1979 18' cc steury. It has a deep v and is heavy for its size. the motor is rated for 5250 max rpm as most of you probably know, but I can go higher than that if I want, but dont want to blow it up. probably could hit 5500-5600rpms with the propr on there now. At 5200 rpm I'm getting around 26-28mph, and 23mph at 4400rpm. I'm not sure exactly what size prop is on there now since the numbers are not visible anymore, but I think its a 13-14x17. I want to go to a 13-1/4x19 but would like to hear any suggestions on brands or other possibilities before I buy one and get stuck with it. was looking at the turning point hustler 13-1/4x19 (H1-1319) I'm not concerned with the speed as much as getting the right prop so the motor runs in the optimum RPM range.
Thanks!
