I have a 1983 Johnson V4 90hp engine. This past weekend, I took on water. There was enough water in the boat to submerge the battery and alot of the eletrical system. The motor never went under. I was able to get the bilge on and pumped out all of the water. The motor cranked for awhile. When I got in to go home, the engine would not start. The starter is turning over but no spark. Once in awhile, the motor will fire for a second but then immediately cuts off. I have the Clymer book but I could use some advice. Where should I start in trouble shooting? I have already cleaned the battery and all of the terminal wires. All of my electronics are working except the engine. Any advice is appreciated.
