1990....If i mounted the motor it too low or to high....would that cause my boat not to get out of that hole and on plane fast....it takes longer for the 90 hp to plane then the 70 hp i replaced it with......OH OH one more thing i about forgot to ask ..........I removed the 70 hp....and install the 90 hp would the gas cable stay the same....thought that maybe it wasn't getting all the fuel it needs taking off

keep your post together, some answered this in the other one. fuel hose is the same. set up is 90 % of preformance. was the 70 a short shaft, and 90 a long shaft. that would make a major difference.

If the throttle cable question has not been answered the simple solution is to check the adjustment. Disconnect the throttle cable at the engine. Hold the throttle linkage agaist it's stop. Then bring the cable end up to the attachment point on the linkage. If the two don't line up exactly, adjust the trunion until they do. Then attach the cable again. Now open the throttle wide open. The throttle plates should be perfectly horizontal in the carburetor bore. If not, you need to do the link&sync.
