I have a 2010 Mercury, 90 HP 4 Stroke, When I start it up I can drive it about half a mile and then it sputters and quits. I thought fuel filters, so I replaced both inline high and low-pressure fuel filters, same result. It will start again later and do the same thing. I also checked high and low-pressure fuel pumps, both are working. I'm out of ideas, any help appreciated.
Thank you
Don

I've tried running with it open and it didn't make a difference. Also, last week I found out that if I trim the motor up over halfway it will run but at any kind of speed I can't get it to level out unless I trim it down, and when I do it starts sputtering and eventually quits. After that, I thought crimped fuel line but I don't see any crimping.

I have a Mercury 2011 60 hp efi. I have spark to all 4 plugs and 43 psi fuel pressure. My Fuel injectors won't pulse. The only thing I can find online to be the problem is a possible bad ECM. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Just for %#@& and giggles, disconnect the fuel connector at the motor from the fuel line and see if there might be a lot of particulate. I had some grey fuel line deteriorate from alcohol to the point were it creates a similar condition you describe. I changed the fuel line and the problem went away
