Having issues with my 1997 mercury 90 hp elpto 3 cylinder. So I take out the boat about every weekend, took it out on memorial day got it started in the water and once it was off the trailer that was it. No more staying started even while spraying ether straight into carbs, no start. Had it on trickle charge 2 days prior. Had an empty tank and filled it with premium before going out,got it back on trailer and carbs were full of water. Took off carbs and cleaned them. Replaced spark plugs and starter silanoid, cleaned up corrosion, drained tank put in new fuel, seafoam etc. Now getting very little spark from plugs, will turn over but running at all. My neutral safety switch went a while back and I have just been making connection upon starting except the last few times I had the wires spun together (not sure if this could screw up the switch box?). Anyway tested the stator with the meter and it's reading in normal range. Can't seem to get to trigger, fly wheel or switch box to test without taking apart the whole motor. So I'm trying to not buy all 3 items if it's just one. Any ideas as to how to test or what to do?

97 mercury 90 3 cyl elpto spark problem

97 mercury 90 elpto spark problem. Well here's my issue this boat ran fine 2 weeks ago. Memorial Day I go to put it in the water fill up the gas tank and hit the primer ball fires right up like usual. Ran for 4 min then bogs out I was able to crank it up a couple times but not able to get back to land so I walked it in. When on rain gas tank was professionally drain new fuel filter rebuilt carburetors new plugs now my boat has a very low spark when I say llow spark you have to get the spark plug really close to the block four or to see a spark. There was two burnt wires at the connector one of the wires was white wire coming off the stator at the connector where it went into the ignition box and the other wire was burnt a little at the connector that wire went to the solenoid that was a red wire i rehook these wires back up the ones that were burnt.. still have Low Spark Without start. ether will not even get her running but I do have spark on all three cylinders anybody can help at all or has had this problem thank you before I go spending big bucks. could it be the stator control box trigger if so how to test and has anybody ran into it please help thanks Dave, even if you had a similar situation where you had less work I've checked every connection.
PLEASE HELP PLEASE HELP MANUAL ANYTHING THANK YOU SO MUCH.... HELP GREATLY APPRECIATED
