Morning all,
I have a 96 75HP Mariner on my current plate alloy C/C but seem to putting more & more gear on the boat every trip. More ponies needed. So I am looking at a new 90HP Opti.Any comments good or bad welcome. Really bad ones you can email me.
I live in a warm part of Australia so I can fish all year if the weather is good. No winter ICE to worry about.
Suggestions on other brands incl 4 stroke will be welcome also.
Thanking you in advance.
Regards,
Peter

Re: 90 HP Optimax - FEEDBACK

Just bought a 150 optimax, turn the key it starts with no choke, give it throttle and there is no hesitation. Don't know about durability that's why I got the 5 year warranty. So far I'm very happy with the extra paid for the Optimax.

In your place,I would rather consider 4 stroke OB (since you are going to use your boat all year long). So far i've heard all the best for legendary Yamaha F115 or Suzuki DF140 OB. Consider also Honda's OB-s for example BF90,115 or 130. Since new Honda BF150 and Yamaha F150 are brand new on the market, there are no feedback yet about eventually problems or weak points.
