90hp E-tec report

Well I have had my E-tec for about three weeks now and it is running great on my 18 foot War Eagle. <br /><br />I have been hunting and fishing around two-three times a week and have around 20 hours on the engine. The gas millage has been very impressive and you hardly know it is on the back of the boat when your at idle. <br /><br />The boat has been running around 42-45 at 5500 rpm. I am using regular tw3 oil in the right now but plan on running the XD100 this summer.<br /><br /> Mark

Glad to see you back. Have you got your Lowrance LMS unit dialed in? Have you made a map-high detailed on your 16 meg chip? The XD-100 oil has been out for a couple of months, why don't you use it? Can I ask any more questions?<br />Backfire

Walleyehed,<br /><br />I am running a Solas D3X 13 1/4 X 19RT on my 90HP E-TEC and love it. I do wonder if I could get anymore speed out of a different prop but the hole shot and top end is great.<br /><br /> As for the XD100 I don't think it has been out for more than one month because Union City Marine in Tenn. Just got some three weeks ago when I picked up the boat. I will be running it as soon as I find a dealer with the software to reprogram the engine.<br /><br />Mark

3-Blade Turbo SS would gain you a little....<br />How is the engine set up now?? is it setting directly on the transom??
