i have a 1993 90hp evinrude and i was running it in the yard on the hose and i noticed a little bit of water squirting out, above the water intake holes where the gear case bolts to the rest of the motor. It wasnt alot but i figured it would only get worse.....im not sure should i leave it or fix it....can i drop the lower unit and put some gasket maker in between the two? how do i drop the lower unit there are 4 bolts holding the 2 together do i just taker the 4 bolts out...then will it seperate or is there more involved.

if anyone can help it would be appreciated
thank

Normal.

There is no seal between the lower and mid section.

Yes.

As stated, ther is NO seal between the lower and mid section. "Muffs" tend to push water out of that seam.
