Im going to look at a 90hp nissan guy does not know year says its metalic blue and grey on cowl says nissan anyone know about what year this could be and what its worth not running and running comes with controls
don't know yet, need to hook it up and check but theres nothing there when I roll it with breaker bar and it rolls harder on that cylinder I was wanting to keep this one for my boat but guess it would be worth what $500 its a 92 according to Nissan dude I called
just looked down the cylinder and from what I can see the walls look good heres a picture of it need to decide if I want to spend the money to fix Guess all I can do is crack it open. would I be able to see the piston if I opened the exuast cover? I know you can on mercurys
Any advice besides tear into it? I can tell you if feels sloppy at #2 stroke sound like a loose connecting rod? keep in mind I have no Idea of the history of this motor but there is not a rod through the block
thanks
Started tearing into it is there something out there that works well with the bolts to keep them from shearing I had 1 shear off on me on the head and I was being careful Im using WD-40 and penatrating oil
thanks
I also have an NS90A. It has been running well up till last week. Checked everything today and it seem my #2 is also bad. What did you find out about this and what can I do as shade tree'er to fix?
Two different motors. May be 2 different problems from the sound of it. Standard troubleshooting applies here. Check compression, fuel system (including carbs), and of course reeds.
