Re: 90hp Optimax?
I have a 2006 115 Opti and really like it, fairly quiet running up to mid range, gets a little noisy wot. Plenty of power, pushes my 17'6" deep v alum with two people and gear to 47 mph GPS with stock alum prop, and runs very smoothe. The 75 and 90 Opti's are the exact same motor with less hp. Not sure how they shed the hp but its probably something to do with a computer chip and fuel flow. The mechanic at the service center told me these newer Opti's were pretty much bulletproof.
