90HP safety mode disconnect

does anyone know what color wire will over ride the 2,000 RPM warning system, I bought the engine with out the gauges and bells and whistles and the engine will not run over 2,000 RPM, has perfect compression, rebuilt carbs, and fuel pump works and spark test jumps 1/2"

Does the alarm system work?
over heat alarm could be coming on and alarm not working.
Overheat alarm is brought in by the pink wire being grounded at the temperature switch, but not real sure on that old of a motor.

no the alarms do not work none of the gauges or horns are hooked up at this time, I did disconnect the pink wire and the motor now runs correct. Thanks Bob
