I lost compression on one of the 3 cylinders on my 1995 force/merc 90hp inboard. Pulled the head and found the bad cylinder with some gouging on the cyl wall and the piston is missing half of the compression ring. I want to rebuild it, have it bored, replace the pistons and rings, possibly the bearings too. Question, are there rebuild kits for these engines, ie gasket kits, piston and ring kits, or do I have to buy everything seperatly? Anyone have any idea where I should go to find these parts? Also what is the max "over" I can go on the bore and pistons and rings? thanks

On my home page (icon above) there are places you can buy parts from.

Any Mercury dealer should be able to supply you with individual parts.

I am not sure if kits are available.

FYI, same thing happened to my buddies Sport Jet 90 and he just honed the cylinders, and put factory spec pistons in. Not the "right way" to do it, but it worked great for him.

Ken
