Re: 90hp without spark

I just read your post and have you checked your fuse on the motor itself. Did you make sure the kill switch clip hasn't been removed or isn't engaged right to cause the engine not to spark. Does it not spark at all or is it sparking somewhat also check and clean the big red plug could be corroded up if you run in salt water. Make sure the battery is fully charged and do a load test on it also and make sure it has at least 12.65 Volts of juice. Let me know what you find and if I have helped you out at all. I am just going off what you just wrote in your post. Also make sure all your grounds are cleaned even the block grounds and the coil grounds and the pac grounds, etc. Hope thsi helps you out somewhat. Take care, Bob at Osan AFB Korea.

Are your spark plugs all out of the engine when you check for spark? Did you disconnect the black and yellow kill wires at the powerpacks? Are your spark plug wires solid core?

Re: 90hp without spark

as mentioned if you disconnect the black yel off the powerpacks and get spark, likely cause is the key switch. You can disconnect the big red main plug, then jump out the starter, and check for spark,if the plug wires are connected and the keyswitch was the problem your engine could start ,so pull the plugs and check for spark ,its safer.FYI,you can run the engine with main plug disconnected,(if you jump the starter to the yel/red wire on solonoid or direct to positive terminal ,the big one on starter)but you have no kill circut,if you have no water hooked and it starts, your impeller will burn, and its dangerous.I'd bet your keyswitch is bad

Unplug the red cannon plug, then jump the solenoid to check for spark.
