My boat has a temp. gauge but it is not hooked up to my 2003 90HP Yamaha (2 stroke). I want to get it working but not sure how. I found what looks like a a sensor in the stern of the boat with 1 wire attached but the other end of the wire was a dead end under the console (see picture) Looking at a parts diagram online I see in the electrical section it shows this - THERMO SWITCH ASSY 688-82560-10-00 but that looks different from my part, also I guess it's a switch, probably to limit RPMs in an overheat situation.
Anyway, to get to the point can anyone steer me to where and how the temp gauge gets wired to the motor?
