I have a mid 90,s 2 stroke short shaft 6hp on my dingy. It hasn't been running well. Usually have to keep pulling choke out to keep it running. Also noticed a gas slick when parked. I took cowl off and at least when I pump the gas ot just turn off there is a solid drip from the carburetor. Any ideas? Thanks for the help

First place I'd start, with your description, is with a carb rebuild.

Appreciate the advice - just needed it confirmed by a fellow boater - I won't complain if its only a $30.00 FIX!

Chance are it may not cost you anything. Remove carb and the float bowl. Remove float, needle and seat. Blow air through fuel inlet and reassemble and checking float adjustment. If careful enough, you could use same gaskets. If torn or broke, will need new.
