Recently a friend of mine and I were at a lake and ran the engine through some muddy water. The engine over heating buzzer came on so my friend shut down the engine and cleaned out the tube. The boat ran fine the rest of the day. He later took it out and the engine didn't sound quite right. It was kinda chugging. Now the engine is cutting out when he try's to acelerate. The engine also has to be idling high for him to be able to keep it running. Sometimes it will quit when he idles it lower. Any help will be appreciated. BTW he has checked all lines and replaced fuel filters. Thanks.
