90tlry power trim and tilt

hi guys i have to replace my power trim and tilt motor. is it neccesary to pull the motor off the boat to get to that back bolt to pull the pump off?

Not sure about your 90 but my 40 I pulled the top pin with motor up and that let the unit tilt out far enough for me to get to the back bolt
