Not sure what you are refering to as the vacuum pump, but the conventional repalacement pump is a complete unit including the air motor section that drives the fuel piston.Around 155 clams.

91 150 vro rebuild kit

I've just rebuilt my 91 150 evi E150NXEIS (my first rebuild  ) and was inspecting my VRO, in particular the vapor separator and pump assembly. The oil side has been capped off and wires snipped, so I'll mix 50:1 as the previous owner had. Anyway, my parts catalog doesn't list the repair kit part numbers for the VRO, it says to get the Accessory Parts Catalog for that. Does anyone know the rebuild kit number so i can replace the gaskets, valve and seat? The local dealers have been less than helpful. Thanks for your help.

If you are mixing 50-l, why not just use a regular fuel pump?

thanks for the quick reply. I'll check Max out. Does that conventional pumper just replace the pump assembly or does it replace additional components such as vapor separator and vacuum pump too?

Page 144 in the latest P&A catalog show 3 kits and refer to service bulletin 2237 from the older OMC days. These kits may or may not work on the original 1991 pump, but I do know that the fuel pump diaphragm is the same on all of them.

air motor repair kit 435921
fuel piston kit 436095
motor housing kit 174127

The 1998 and later pumps and replacement pumps are completely rebuildable and the parts are listed in the parts book, parts CD-ROM, or Micro-Fiche. They are recognized by the fuel outlet and vacuum inlet fittings that are replacable and fastened by Torx screws and a stainless steel oval plate.

Re: 91 150 vro rebuild kit

Thanks fellas. OB, i was referring to the air motor (pump)not a vacuum pump (not really sure why i wrote that, i've got the parts manual directly in front of me). As for why i'm not using a regular fuel pump, i figure just rebuilding with kits would be less expensive than a 155 bills for a whole new pump. If the kits seahorse mentioned don't work, i won't have a choice though.

A cheap way would be to buy a late model (98 or later) "VRO" on Ebay for a few bucks, then put in the new fuel diaphragm and whatever else is needed because all the repair parts are available for those pumps.

<<<<The 1998 and later pumps and replacement pumps are completely rebuildable and the parts are listed in the parts book, parts CD-ROM, or Micro-Fiche.
