14ft fiberglass with 4 guys totaling 800lbs. boat,4 guys and an inch or 2 of water under the sub floor. too much for a 50 force to handle?<br />It over heated and died on the lake, fortunitely no damage done. the impeller looks like new, water flows freely with earmuffs' on. Hard to tell what the waters doing with it in the lake as the water discharges through the bottom accept for a little spray out the small holes out of the water.

i would get rid of the water for starters as you will be surprised how much it weighs when in a bucket(or 2),my force 50 pushes my 15ft crysler striper along with 4 adults at 26knots with ease and later i found out that the engine (with hyro-fins attached) was not mounted correctly so i have now raised engine 1.5 inches so the fins are now in-line with the keel.Although it depends on your hull design,if a plaining hull go and get some hydro-fins fitted and make sure the trim is set correctly then it should go well.
