I have a good johnson motor. It will start and then die, I can see fuel in the filter. Now I don't get any spark at all. Is there a shut off switch other than on the controls. What am I missing? Did my stator go bad suddenly?
I recently purchased a 1990 Lowe 240 pontoon with a 70 hp Johnson VRO. The wires and cables have been tampered with. There was no manual with it and I would like to find one that would give a diagram on the wiring and electric. The motor hasn't been started for 2 or 3 years and it looks okay. I want to perform some tests and so on before attempting to start it after I complete the wiring. Please advise?
