Ive got a 1990 Bayliner Capri 1800, and its missing something on the sides. On other pictures of the same boat it has a black plastic cover, or vent on the rear, which mine doesnt have. It looks like mine have been removed at some point, because there are 4 screw holes on each side where it used to be.

Does anyone know somewhere or someone I could get these from? It gives the boat a more finished look, especially since the hull at that point looks like it needs something. Pictures below.

Picture 1, 3, 4 is what im missing, picture 2 is my boat.

UPDATE: Found the vents on ebay!

That is the vent cover. Redone4x4, if I recall correctly, found a place to order those from for pretty cheap ($20 or something). Otherwise you are ebay bound and the price hike on NLA (no longer available) stuff like that is pretty evil.

Ill give Redone4x4 a message and see if he knows where to buy them. Im having a lot of trouble finding them, but then I might just be calling it something different from what its actually called.

i ended up getting mine on ebay....and was very happy. I think mine might be a different shape, but they came out awesome, and really cleaned the boat up alot. ill pm you the link for the guy i bought from. you will just have to measure what you have, and see if he has anything that fits it.

Doesn't that help dispatch the gas fumes and keep the boat from going boom?

It's funny what we all do to make it look better and we all have different taste. My Chaparral had big black vent covers. I painted them white to make them blend in. Also this was such an 80's/90's look. Here are mine now (even though this is an old picture).

Re: '91 bayliner missing something

A little bump. I still havent found any online, or otherwise. Im just hoping someone will stumble across this thread and either have a pair off an old boat, or knows where to buy them.

Ive got a search for ebay bookmarked, that will look at ANY item on ebay that has 'bayliner' somewhere in the page. Using this search I did see 2 broken ones go through, (sold for $35) but Id like something intact. Anyways, if you've got anywhere I might be able to get these, give me a shout.

**Also, I added a close-up pic to the OP.

That'd be great, Thanks! I think there's only a couple of years there that Bayliner used that style of exhaust cover on their boats, and apparently they're in high demand.

Took a look at those boats for ya today. No luck on those vents. I knew the one capri had something on it similar but its part of the window. They must be older boats. Sorry

Well thanks for looking anyways, I knew it'd be a long shot, since the covers i see most often are from 89 bayliners, or in that area. Ill keep looking, hopefully something pops up.

I have the same vents and I have one broken one. I have not found anywhere that sells and have called several bayliner dealers with no luck.

Ive actually seen some go by on ebay, but the ones ive seen are either one side only, or they're selling broken ones, oddly enough.... Ive had a bit of luck going through craigslist, but the ones IVe found, the owner wants $100 for the both of them, and I dont want to pay that much for something cosmetic.

Hey umorion,

I finally found one thanks to your pic. I put out a lookout on ebay for anyone parting out a 90-94 bayliner capri. Found one for 35$ you might try the same. :)

Wow no kidding? What did you do, an ebay "looking-for" ad? I put one out a couple months ago, but it never got any responses. Please elaborate :) I only found a guy on craigslist who wanted $100 for the two of them, which I thought was too much for something cosmetic.
