I have a 91 OMC cobra 4.3. When shifting into gear the the system grinds until it goes into gear. The RPM's is set to 800 according to the manual and the ESA doesn't seem to be dropping the RPMS when trying to shift. I pulled the shift interrupter lever and the engine doesn't respond most of the time. When it does react, the engine just dies and have to restart it to try again. Any thoughts?
