92 150 silver series water in fuel?

greetings to all. what are the symptoms of water in fuel? motor was running fine then began to shudder at low speed,then stall upon acceleration.would restart after several attempts could not get above 4000rpm.limped back to dock seems fine at idle. thanks in advance.
