I have a 92 1500 F-5 CFI motor on my 21ft Trophy. I believe its a 92. The serial # sticker has worn away and I can't find another spot with it on it. The current prop is a 17p Michigan Wheel SS. The hub is spun and I'm looking for a replacement. Its the single exhuast model that uses the thru hub exhaust prop. I want to replace it with a 4bld alum. There doesn't seem to be one listed specifically listed for it. I did some checking and it seems that the props for late '90's Honda and Yamaha models in the 90hp range have the same part # listed on a couple aftermarket prop companies web sites. Its the 4" hub 15 spline shaft. I see a lot listed for the '95 and newer 150's. What was the change that was made in '95 and why can't those props be used. Just looking for some options.

Thanks
Tim

Re: 92 150cfi prop question

1995 and later props ( and lower units) have a 4 1/4" dia. HUB. 1995 and later props will rub against the gear case if you put them on an earlier lower unit that uses props with a 4" HUB.

Re: 92 150cfi prop question

I knew mine was a 4" huB just didn't know what the '95's were. Are other motors where the props would work with mine?

Thanks

Ok, if there's no other motors that run the same prop does anyone know of a company that makes a 4 blade aluminum prop to fit a '92 150?

Thanks
Tim
