'92 175 miss

I own a 92 175 and am having a high speed miss or cough. Not sure what to do. I have went through the carbs already. This motor is a reman. block with 81hrs on it.Any ideas would be great. I also notice that when I am at idle my tach kind of jumps around a little but not real bad,could this mean maybe the stater is getting bad?

First - this is a 60* looper, right?

My bad, I did mean stator. Not real goooood at speeeling.60*is right.Somebody told me this miss could be the power pack. Not sure though.

Had a similar problem w/ my 1994 150 loopa.
Compression was ok, but the port bank failed spark test at 7/16th gap,
it would fire but it was weak.
Changed the power pack and its good t'go.

power packs are not to cheap to buy. I might try the spark test first and see if its good and strong. I also did a comp.test and it was good(95to100).I might try decarbing the motor also. Anything else one might look for?????

spark test
use timeing light on each wire and watch strobe look for miss
on each cyl under load you may have weak spark on a cyl
check all your coil grounds make sure there clean

This weekend I will try some tests and see if I cant figure this out.Thanks for all the ideas.Keep them coming. This sight is the best you guys really know what your talking about!!!!!
