hey guys, last question on this boat i think. there should be a warning buzzer when i turn the key on right? from reading alot of posts i think there should be a buzzer that shuts off when started and will sound if oil pressure drops or if temp goes too high. is this right? or does it depend on the boat manufacturer? I found that the previous owner had by passed the oil pressure switch that activates the fuel pump and am wondering if maybe he had to disable the buzzer for the same, or maybe another, reason. maybe it's just got a wire off or something. I don't even know where to look for it or what it resembles.

fix the fuel pump issue first, its a standard pressure switch available in most auto stores. since electric fuel pumps seem to draw more current as they get older and burn the contacts in the pressure switch, I am now installing a small cube relay to power the fuel pump wired to the pressure switch. relay contacts can take more current.
As far as having a buzzer ,look under the dash for a electric horn/buzzer., etc.

fuel pump issue is fixed- replaced the oil pressure switch yesterday. I've been under the dash- ive seen the horn- didnt see a buzzer but then i don't really know what it looks like. I'll keep the relay thing in mind but i don't think it will be an issue now with a brand new merc switch, we'll see i guess. Thanks
