I'm in the process of rebuilding the above motor. When pressing new bearings on the crank shaft (upper and lower), the manual says the seal cap section should point to the crankshaft on the lower bearing but doesn't mention the top. If the capped portion of the bearing points to the crankshaft it would appear the bearing will not receive lubrication from the crankcase. My question is, which way does the 'open' portion of the top bearing face, towards the crankshaft or to the coil assembly.<br /><br />Thanks in advance.<br /><br />ps. I bought the crank used less the upper and lower bearing and wasn't able to verify their direction.
