I went out on the water today, weather was 74 degrees, and about ten minutes in driving, I heard an alarm. At first, thought it was electrical interference. Stopped to fish and when I tried to turn on motor, realized it was the alarm from the throttle box. Decided to come in so I wouldn’t be stranded out there, motor ran fine, peeing good. Turned off boat, got trailer, motor started right up with alarm again, loaded and came home. Rinsed motor on muffs and alarm still on. I’ve been reading on here, thermostat? Impeller? Something else? Suggestions please.

Possible that the buzzer itself is defective.-----And does the tell tale hose come off the side of the block or the top ?------The latest water pump kit comes with parts / instructions for cooling system changes.-----Look into it.

Had the same issue. Tested the overheat sender, it was good. Don't remember the specs off hand. Replaced the alarm in the control box, good to go.

Took a look at it today. Removed the tan wire to the buzzer and it still came on as I turned key. From what I read, that would indicate buzzer is faulty. Will replace and thank all of you for the insight.
