After doing I believe Don's ignition diagnostic, I decided I had bad slave solenoid. I was able to start the motor up by jumping terminals and get it up and running. I did have to poor a little gas down carb (I also just switched to a canister style fuel filter unlike the stock inline fuel filter)

After replacing the solenoid, and giving my battery a little charge time, I was able to get the motor to turn over, but it would not get going.

A couple hours later, now I can here the solenoid engage, but its almost like the starter isn't working now as its not turning at all. The battery could be garbage, but I had it hooked up to 200A boost for quick start and now even less than earlier, when a few days ago it was running.

Any help is much appreciated and im on my phone so ill be ready to reply speedily. Thanks!

Definitely check the battery with a real battery load test. Don't go fixing other stuff til you know the basics are good.

Unfortunately, the battery tested out fine. The engine also hasn't randomly locked up, just turned the crank by hand.

Poor engine (block) ground.

Well all the connections tested out fine, so i went back and did don's ignition diagnostic one more time to double check, apparently my starters gone bad in some capacity in the last week.

Connections may not look corroded but you have to take it apart, make the connectors clean and shiny and reinstall. Just because they are tight does not mean they are making a good connection. A lot of amps pass thru those connectors and they are in a wet environment. Double check the connections. Also the starter can be tested at the local auto store. If you need one, db electrical in alabama has marine starters at very good prices.

I see their (db electrical) starters on amazon for my motor, do you have any experience with them or recommended? The price definitely caught my eye, just didn't know the quality of their starter

China made, work well. At least the couple I have bought had the made in china stickers on them. You didn't say if you had the starter tested. If you didn't redo the battery cables at both ends, replacing the starter won't help. Cables can also corrode inside where you cant' see them and have the same ill effects. Can't carry the amps. I would have the starter tested first.

I've tested every battery cable. The block ground (- cable) was what i checked originally before i replaced the solenoid after some reading.

I followed Don's troubleshooting the starting system guide here http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=167035

Everything was on par until the end until i got to the solenoid on the starter and my test light lit up.

Thanks for the information on the starter
