92 OMC 454 fuel pump failing

Hello all. I'm new to these forums but they look pretty helpful so I'm hopeful some one can help. I have had to replace the fuel pump (electronic) 3 times in past ten months and less than 18 hours. Each time it has failed while idling in the slip. Boat is a 1992 chris craft crowne 252 with omc 454 (carbeurTor, no efi)and outdrive. The guy I bought it from claims he had no problems.Any

You want to post this in the I/O Forum. there's nothing about your motor or drive that's specific to Chris Craft- it's an OMC 454, and the technically inclined who frequesnt the other forum may be able to help you.
