I need to know if anyone has the torque specs for the bearing retainer ring on my lower unit. Seloc for some reason omits this info totally. I need to replace the two seals on the prop shaft. Any other need to know tips would be helpful, seeing how I am flying blind somewhat.

Lube it with 2-4-C grease and torque it to 210 ft lbs.

Laddies, Do you really mean 210 ft lbs? I for one are not strong enought to make it that tight, and I wouldnot think the threads would take that, being aluminum

To put it into perspective, 80 ft/lbs on a 1/2 inch bolt is 3640 lbs at the thread. 210 ft/lbs on a 4 inch nut is 1260 lbs at the thread.

hope it helps.
