93-115 Evinrude carb gas leaks

Hey,
I have the plug screws on upper carb leaking gas, the plastic part of the bowl where the screws go seems to be striped out a little, I replaced the o rings That fit on the plug screws, but still leaking, I know Evinrude now makes a all metal bowl, I
hope that some one knows a fix for this, so i dont have to tear down the the carbs right now. How about some J B weld, or something else maybe?

Its very easy to replace the float bowl, probably easier than trying to fix the threads with JB weld. You would probably be better off with some type of thread sealant.

Make sure its the drain plug that's leaking, the bowl itself can deform and not seal well where it bolts to the carb body.
