Afternoon,

Is there a way to lube the cables that go from the shifter lever by my steering wheel to the motor that control forward and reverse and the speed?

Thanks

Not anyway that I know of. If they work hard, just replace them. Maybe somebody else knows a way.

Agree! If someone says to cram some grease in it by lubing the cable ends, then move the cable back and forth-be wary. Some greases get really stiff in cold weather and then you'll be wondering just why you did it. Best to just replace.

My manual mentions extending the cables at the motor end and putting some grease on them there.
Also mentions hard shifting can be caused by over adjusted throttle cable.

You can remove the cable where they attach at control box, take 2 ft of 5/16 fuel line and push over cable to the solid core. Clamp in place and add 4 oz of air tool oil and take a air nozzle and stick in end of hose and SLOWLY add air pressure, release and repeat till oil exits motor end of cable, if it doesn't free up after a few travels then replace....

Thank you everyone. Almost like lubing a dirtbike clutch cable.

Thanks again.
