93 200 vindicator and 92 175 intruder part compatability

Hi- I have a 92 175 intruder (e175glenc) and know of a 93 200 vindicator that is available for parts. Does anyone know how compatable these 2 engines are??? Can my engine accept parts from a 93 200 vindicator or are they very different engines? For instance can I use the starter on either motor?

I don't know the answer, but I think the most definitive way would be to use the the www.brp.com website. It has parts finder for all the johnson and evinrued outboards. You can pretty easily compare part numbers for the two engines if you have the model number for both. THere is even a "pick list" feature where you can select a part and put it on that list, which you can then print. For instance, you could "pick" the part from the e175glenc and the same part for the other and then compare.

Depends on what parts you want to interchange. The lower units can be made to swap, they use the same props. Same gas & oil but not much after that. The 92 is a 60* looper, the 93 is a 90* looper.
