I need a part number for the fuel connector on this engine and some advice on how to order it. The merc site seems not to be working. Parts cannot be located without a dealer and that's fouled up. The plastic inlet cracked and leaks. Thanks for any help. Rick Lindsay

Welcome to iboats and wander on over here... Merc Connectors :)

But I'll bet what you need is attached to the motor. That's 22-15781A9 and only available from a Merc dealer. Check your yellow pages.

Willy, Thanks much for that part number. One bolt holds it onto the cowling base. Since it may take some time to receive it , I was wondering why I couldn't make a direct connection. Could I cut the connector off my fuel hose and go straight in for a short term fix? The fish are biting and I'm desperate. Thank's again, Rick

inho, it could be a permanent fix. my only concern is the rubbing and wearing, going into the cowling.

Dear 8 Below and all you husky lovers, I think the problem is fixed, The part should be here tomorrow, 40 bucks worth. Next day is expensive. If this happens again especially on the water now I have a plan. This is the greatest forum I've ever seen. I have had nothing but success with every question. The knowledge base here is just incredible. Rick Lindsay
