When I shift my motor between gears it doesnt seem to "click" in to neutral. Forward is fine, reverse is fine but there is a small margin to get it into neutral. When I removed the lid and look at the inside it looks it is rounded off. Guess its worn for all the years of swithing back and forth. Anyone know what the part is called?
I looked on shop.evinrude.com, but I dont see a section that covers that to better explain what I'm talking about. Basicaly its the part that moves when you move the shift handle between gears. It moves left and right and there is a part on top of it that I believe actually moves the shift rod in the lower unit up and down. I can get it into neutral because I'm used to it, but I will be installing a control box this weekend and I have a feeling it wont work to well if I dont replace this part.
