Make: Johnson. Model: TJ60TLETD. Year: 93. HP: 60. Cyl: 3. Oil injection disconnected; mix own.

I've searched the forum archives and could not find a similar problem. Boat has been running fine, but two weeks ago I idled down the canal from the launch fine, but when I got up on plane the engine sounded like it was missing; it was jerking to one side. Shut it down and pulled it out. Ohmed wires- all ok; checked plugs- all clean, gapped .030 and connections ok; good spark on all 3 plugs; Used a timing light which checked OK on #2 and #3, but intermittently indicating 1 and sporadically 2 on #1 plug: it looked like 1,1,2,1,1,1,1,2,1,1,1,2,1,1,1,2,2,1,1,1,1 etc.
I found a crimped wire (black/yellow from the kill switch/ignition) behind the mount plate for the coils and power pack, so I cleaned, cut, butt-spliced, & re-dressed but still have the same problem & symptoms. I've replaced fuel/oil twice to ensure it's OK.

Using Clymer 2-300HP OB 91-94 manual. Can't find a test wheel #386665, so using muffs for short time (10 secs.).

Are there other checks or tests I can do? Am I off base? It seems like the power pack, but before I drop the bucks to replace it, does anyone have any suggestions? Any advice is greatly desired and most appreciated.

Thank you in advance for any help or suggestions. This forum is fantastic, and I've already learned a lot!

-LB
