93' 88 SPL Johnson - Carbs Reversed?

I pulled the carbs this weekend after the motor sat for a year. I didn't do a complete breakdown of the carbs. I left all the jets in place and used carb cleaner and compressed air. The bottom of the bowls had solidified 2-cycle oil that needed a good scrub with a brush to remove.

All went well until I started to replace carbs. I labeled the carbs before removal so I'm sure which was on top and bottom. Well, after I had the carbs back on, the throttle link between the two just wasn't going back on naturally. So I pulled out my OMC manual and noticed that the linkage was never on like in the factory pictures. My guess is that the last guy that pulled the carbs reversed them. I managed to swap the various pieces of the throttle linkage and it is now 100% stock. The idle is as best as I've had on the motor running on muffs. After running for a minute or two from dead cold, it'll fire up in less then a sec and purr with no choke. I'm in Florida so that helps a lot.

The question is: are the carbs on this motor jetted differently? That is the top and bottom carb. Or, are they exactly the same and I have nothing to worry about?

Thanks!

I don't have carnal knowledge of that motor, but I'm sure the carbs are the same.

The jets in both carbs are the same for the idle, mid and high speed jets.
