First off, let me introduce myself; I'm Mike and I'm from Vero Beach, FL. I'm pretty young, but pick up on things pretty easily. My uncle has had a few boats and always invited my family out on them, and they've been some of the most fun I've ever had. The other day he asked my dad if he wanted to purchase a Marada 1800MVB he got; he used a few parts from it to fix up his other boat, and now is getting rid of it. It's definitely not the prettiest boat around (yet), but I think it's a diamond in the rough. Boat needs a new motor (already found one for a good price), padding redone, and the floor redone. How hard would it be to replace the flooring in this? I'm assuming just start ripping things out, then cut new pieces of plywood? I already have a friend who'll work on the vinyl, and, like I said, found a motor, so really I'm just wondering how hard it is to replace the floor. I don't know much about boats, but am willing/eager to learn, and hope to get this beauty up and water ready in a few months.

I'm thinking or removing what little carpet is there and just painting it. I'm not too sure how sound it is though, as I haven't actually been in the boat yet :(

If you do plan on redoing the floor make sure check the rest of the wood too. Do a search here for "marcq" he has pics of his boat with kiwigrip floor paint on his boat and it looks great.
