on my 93 force there is water leaking out of where the Forward/reverse selector rod enters the lower unit. Is this normal? Is there a seal that is bad or just a design flaw? also there is a small hole next to one of the four bolts that holds the bottom part of the lower unit to the top part looks like it was casted too thin and a hole developed i have a rubber washer on the bolt covering up the hole for now. what is the correct approach to fix that hole(1/8" in diameter) <br />Also very little water is coming out of the two exhaust/water holes on the back of the motor. Any ideas would be appreciated.

IF YOU ARE RUNNING THE ENGINE ON EAR MUFFS YOU WILL SEE THE WATER COMING FROM THIS AREA THIS NORMAL AND AS FOR THE HOLE THIS A DRAIN HOLE FOR WATER PUMP CAVITY ETC TO DRAIN AND AS FOR THE WATER COMING FROM THE EXHAUST PORTS IT DOES NOT DUMP A LOT OF WATER TIL THERMOSTAT OPENS IF THE IMPELLAR HAS NEVER BEEN CHANGED I WOULD REPLACE IT FACTORY RECOMMENDS EVERY TWO YEARS
