I have a leak in the gasket from the Rectifier & Regulator assembly. The motor was just rebuilt and there are only two bolts on either side holding it down, but it look like there should be two more on the front, opposite side of the flywheel, but i cannot be sure by the drawing on the BRP site, can anyone verify that there should be four bolts holding it down. The water shoots out like a cannon.

Thanks,
richie

Well assume you started with a 115 and presume the extra horsepower came as a result of the rebuild.

Yes, there are supposed to be more bolts holding down the water cooled regulator / rectifier. 6 total, 2 short and 4 long.

You have to wonder how that got by the rebuilder when he test ran the motor.

Lets just say that I am not happy with the rebuild, I learned my lesson on this one, he came recommended by someone. Well dropped the boat of June 3and didnt get it back till august 30th, said there was a backlog at the machine shop, then the pistons were on back order etc. So. i learned, now i have to make the best of it.
