93 johnson 88 special, vibration comes and goes...

93 johnson 88 special on a 19 foot cc... low, deep vibration comes and goes..no loss in power from cruising when it occurs but when gunning engine from neutral, it comes and goesand power takes a while to take effect... sounds and feels like a helicopter flying overhead back there...<br /><p><br />I added do-el fins before season, will that cause it to vibrate? , or am I cavitating like crazy?<br /><p><br />any answer deeply appreciated.

YOu are losing a cylinder intermitantly most likely. Check your plugs and grounds and then check for spark. I had the same problem and it turned out that the power pack had gone bad and had caused a intermittant loss in power. Hope this helps. just work in from the plugs. If they all look clean then you probably need to look at fuel.
